INTERVIEW: BMW Not to Change Diesel Strategy in Japan

Tokyo, Nov. 4 (Jiji Press)–Germany’s BMW AG has no plans to change its diesel sales strategy in Japan, seeing no fallout from peer Volkswagen AG’s cheating of diesel emission tests, BMW board member Peter Schwarzenbauer said in a recent interview.
Stressing that his company has never used software to manipulate nitrogen oxide emission test results, Schwarzenbauer reiterated company’s view that BMW vehicles are compliant with emission requirements in any country.
