JMSDF commissions ninth Soryu-class submarine
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) commissioned its ninth Soryu-class diesel-electric attack submarine (SSK) in a ceremony held on 12 March in Hyogo Prefecture in central Japan.
Named JS Seiryu (with pennant number SS 509), the 84-m-long boat was inducted into the JMSDF’s Submarine
