Nissan Altimas Recalled | Rear Door
Nissan is recalling 341,003 Altima sedans for the second time to address the potential for a rear door to open when its power window is lowered. The affected vehicles had been recalled previously.
Vehicles recalled: 2015-2017 Altima sedans previously serviced under recall number 17V-040.
The problem: The door latch-lock cable may not have been routed properly in the rear door in the remedy for the previous recall. As a result, the cable may interfere with the window regulator, causing the rear passenger door to unlatch and inadvertently open when occupants lower the window.
The fix: Dealers will secure the latch-lock cables in the correct position using the new remedy procedure at no charge to owners.
