Pew Research Center：調査結果
8月13日、米国民の中国への認識に関する調査結果を発表した。
中国に対して
「好意的でない」とする回答者の割合：60％（前年の47％）から急速に悪化。
「好意的である」とする回答者の割合：前年の38％から26％へ12ポイントも減少。
共和党支持者：
7割が「好意的でない」と答え、「好意的である」は2割だった。
民主党支持者：
「好意的でない」が59％、「好意的である」が30％です。
共和党支持者の方が、より「好意的でない」との認識を持っています。
共和党支持者は、「好意的でない」の割合が前年の51％から70％まで急激に上昇。
民主党支持者も、「好意的でない」の割合が47％から59％に増加。
中国との経済関係：（表参照）
「悪い」が53％と過半数を占め、「良い」は41％だった。
中国の軍事増強：
8割が「悪い」としている。
中国の経済成長：
「良い」が50％、「悪い」が41％、「良い」が9ポイント上回った。
