Tokyo, Nov. 6 –Sales of imported Volkswagen vehicles in Japan plunged 48.0 pct from a year earlier to 2,403 units in October, industry data showed Friday, suggesting a clear negative impact of the German automaker’s diesel emissions scandal.It was the second-fastest rate of year-on-year sales decline for Volkswagen, although the company does not sell diesel models in Japan.
