寄付税とは：
米国私立大学への高額寄付金に対し、その純投資収益に、1.4％課税（物品税）するもの。
イェール大学、
ハーバード大学、
スタンフォード大学、
その他の私立大学。
これら大学基金に、莫大な物品税が、課税されるのです。
ハーバード大学：
2017年で試算すると、上位6名の寄付関係者だけでも、総額40.5百万米ドルの見込み。
2019年で試算すると、物品税法案ベースで、約5,000万米ドルと推定。
ハーバード大学の年間費用：
資金援助なしでハーバードカレッジに通う場合、2020〜2021年の費用で見ると、
年間授業料だけでも49,653ドル、
授業料、部屋、食費、諸費用を合わせて、
年間72,391ドルも、かかります。
The ivy leagues are complaining that the 1.4% excise tax will hurt financial aid.
Stanford University ：
estimates a tax bill of US$ 42.9 million.
Stanford has an endowment from 2019 figures of US$ 27.7 billion.
The levy tax：
was part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which was a measure to make sure that other entities paid their fair share in taxes.
SWFI estimates：
the tax will have little to zero impact on large endowment’s investment strategies.
