「20 世紀初頭のニュースやドキュメンタリー映画を集めたウェブサイト」がオープン。
「国立映画アーカイブと国立情報学研究所」が、金曜日にウェブサイトを開設した。
NFAJ 歴史映画ポータル：
1904 年から 1937 年までに制作された 87 本の映画をラインナップ。
1904年頃に制作された映画に基づき、13分間の映像も含みます。
「日露戦争中、日本軍を取材した英国人ビデオグラファー」によるもの。
The footage shows
Japanese troops leaving Yokohama, near Tokyo, for Lushun, China — the site of a fierce battle.A 40-minute film produced in 1924
features Emperor Showa’s visit to Ise Shrine and Imperial mausoleums when he was crown prince.
It shows people welcoming him wherever he went.
The National Film Archive of Japan possesses nearly 50,000 cultural and documentary motion picture films produced in Japan.
It plans to upload more to the website, including those dated after World War Two.
The archive’s director, Okajima Hisashi, says the films vividly show how Japanese looked, dressed and worked a century ago.
He says he wants many people to access the website and discover the historic and cultural values of the archived footage.
