ハーレンを拠点とするBerkyGmbHと5つの子会社が対象。
30か月・禁止期間中は、世界銀行プロジェクトへの参加資格を喪失。
世界銀行が全額出資した1億ドルのプロジェクト
ミャンマー・エーヤワディ川：
プロジェクトでで、流域と水資源管理と開発を改善する設計業務を受託。
Berky社：
「提供機器の受け入れで、プロジェクト管理ユニット・職員3人が、ヨーロッパ旅行を計画、提供」しました。
これは明らかに、腐敗行為であると世界銀行は述べています。
The German company
submitted a second bid using its subsidiary’s brand name, in order to increase the company’s chances of benefiting from the contract, which is a collusive practice.Berky also
failed to disclose commissions paid to a local Myanmar agent in its initial bid and in a later amendment to the contract,which is a fraudulent practice, the World Bank said.
Berky GmbH
was founded in 1964 and currently has 85 employees, according to its website.The company makes equipment used to clear and maintain ditches, trenches, and other waterways.
