韓国政府：
韓国政府が、モデルナとワクチン供給契約を結んだ際、
「四半期ごとにどれだけの量の納入を受けるか、具体的に契約していなかったこと」が判明した。
韓国政府は、
- ワクチン供給の具体的契約内容については、
- 「製薬会社との機密保持契約」で、
- 明らかにできないとしてきた。
しかし、今回その事実が判明した。
米国と欧州連合（EU）：
米国と欧州連合（EU）は、供給量も契約書に盛り込んでいた。
中央事故収拾本部
チョン・ウンヨン・ワクチン導入事務局長：8月17日、事務局長が説明した。
モデルナとの契約で、年内の導入量（4000万回分）は明示されている。
しかし、月別、四半期別の具体的な供給日程は通常協議を通じて決める。
- モデルナ側が、7－9月に韓国に供給するとしていた量を、
- 10－12月に一度に供給しても、
- 韓国側は、契約違反と文句を言えない。
モデルナとの契約書：
「月別、四半期別の供給日程は書かれていないこと」を改めて認めた。
米政府の契約：
米政府は、保健福祉省のウェブサイトでモデルナとの53ページから成る契約書を公開した。
そこにはワクチン供給量、契約規模、ワクチン供給単価が記載されている。
時期別の導入量も内容は隠されているが、明らかに含まれていることを確認できる。
EU政府の契約：
EUがアストラゼネカ（AZ）と結んだ契約書にも、月別供給量が含まれている。
韓国政府の代表団：
韓国国内では、モデルナのワクチン供給に不足の事態が発生している。
韓国政府の代表団は、米マサチューセッツ州のモデルナ本社を13日に訪問した。
しかし、これといった成果は得られなかった。
韓国で受託生産の予定：
韓国のサムスンバイオロジクスを通じ受託生産される予定のモデルナ製ワクチン。
韓国国内に優先供給する案も今回提案した。
しかし、モデルナ側から明確な回答はなかった。

Moderna to provide more vaccines to Korea in August, September
Moderna has pledged to put utmost efforts
to increase the COVID-19 vaccine supply to South Korea for August and September and move up the supply schedule for September, the Korean government said Tuesday.
The announcement
came after a Korean government delegation of four high ranking officials visited the US pharmaceutical and biotechnology company’s headquarters over the delay in shipments of Moderna’s vaccine.
According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Moderna explained that
the supply disruption was caused by a problem at a manufacturing laboratory at its cooperative plant and the vaccine rollout for the July supply resumed after the problem was fixed.
Since the beginning of this week,
the administrations of the two shots have been now spread six weeks apart instead of the previous three to four weeks.
