K Line working on Japan’s first LNG-fueled ferry

Giant Japanese shipowner K Line and Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Kaisha (K Line Kinkai) said Wednesday they will work on a joint study for what would be Japan’s first LNG-powered ferry. The passenger ferry will be owned by K Line Kinkai, and the study includes specifications, engine types and any related technical verifications for LNG handling, according to a joint statement.
