ー4 Zero Fighters、2年ぶり展示ー

河口湖飛行館:

山梨県鳴沢村富士桜高原の「河口湖飛行館」

太平洋戦争(1941~45):

当時の旧日本軍の戦闘機の展示が2年ぶりに開催されている。

20年前から始まった8月限定の公開だ。

昨夏はコロナ禍で中止された。

KAWAGUCHIKO ZERO FIGHTER MUSEUM

We recovered four Zero Fighters

from an island in Southeast Asia and spent 20 years restoring them using their original airframes.

We have three of the restored Zeros in our collection.

The other is in The Yushukan Museum at the Yasukuni Shrine.

Our indoor collection includes Mitsubishi A6M2 and A6M5 carrier fighters “Zero Fighters” ,

Nakajima Ki43 fighter “Hayabusa” , Japanese navy Yokosuka K5Y intermediate trainer,

Mitsubishi G4M2 land based attack airplane

-the model in which Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto took his fateful last flight-;

a replica of the Wright brothers’Wright Flyer (replicated), and a number of light aircraft.

Our outdoor exhibits include a Lockheed T-33A jet trainer and North American F-86F Sabre.
