📡Mitsubishi Electric releases AQLOC, a centimeter-class precision positioning terminal compatible with quasi-zenith satellite 20171129

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation received an order for a centimeter-class high precision positioning terminal “AQLOC (AcuLOCK)” that can receive the centimeter-class positioning augmentation service (CLAS * 1) signal from the quasi-zenith satellite system December 2017 It will start on the day and will be released on April 1, 2018.

This product consists of a receiver of the world’s lowest level * 2 and a 4-frequency compatible antenna * 3, and by installing it on a moving body such as agricultural machines, construction machines, railroads, drone, and snow removal vehicles, real- Positioning is possible. We will contribute to the expansion of use of high precision positioning in various fields from now on.

Features of new products

Realize high-accuracy positioning of moving objects in real time

  1. · Received CLAS signal which is distributed free of charge from the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System throughout Japan (planned to start service from FY 2018) and realizes high accuracy centimeter grade positioning in real time
  2. · Initial acquisition time of several seconds to several tens of seconds or less is realized by the feature of CLAS signal including local correction information (ionospheric / tropospheric delay correction)

Compact and lightweight design allows it to be mounted on various moving bodies

  1. – Adopt unique structure for the receiver and antenna, realize the world’s smallest level of compactness and light weight, and can be mounted on small moving bodies such as drone

Positioning by autonomous positioning and network type positioning reinforcement information realized

  1. – A stable autonomous positioning is realized by a proprietary algorithm based on a vehicle speed pulse signal from a gyroscope mounted on the receiver and a moving body even under tunnels or elevated where signals from the satellite can not be received
  2. · It supports positioning by ground-based network type positioning reinforcement information (network type RTK method / RTC M □ 42.3 / 3.2)
