セブン－イレブン12月1日、カリフォルニア州で初の自動運転車両による商用デリバリーサービスを開始。
ニューロの本社が所在するマウンテンビューで同日からサービスを開始した。
ニューロの自動運転技術：
まず、「ニューロ自動運転技術を搭載したトヨタ・プリウス」でサービスを開始する。
ニューロの電気自動車R2もデリバリー車両に加わる予定。
マウンテンビュー市内
サービスエリアの住民セブン－イレブンのアプリ、
- 「セブン・ナウ」から商品を注文し、
- 自動運転デリバリーで、商品を受け取る。
ニューロの公式発表：
ニューロは、2020年12月にカリフォルニア州運輸局（DMV）から、
公道での自動運転車両の商用利用の許可を取得した。
既に、自治体リーダー、学校関係者、企業関係者に、対象デモンストレーションを行った。
