Taiwan: 2019 car production and sales: Decline for 5 consecutive years

2019: Production volume

Sales decreased by 0.8% to 251,304 units.

2019: Sales volume (excluding imported cars, including exports)

Sales decreased by 2.7% to 251,557 units.

This has reduced both production and sales for the fifth consecutive year.

2019: Production volume by manufacturer (see Table 1)

1st place: Kuozui Motor (41.7% of the total: Toyota and Hino invested) increased 3.1% year-on-year to 104,761 units,

2nd place: China Motor (19.7% of total) increased 4.8% to 49,448 units,

3rd place: Yulon Motor Manufacturing (15.0% of composition),

2019: Sales volume (see Table 2)

Of the 251,557 units sold in 2019, 87.1% were sold in Taiwan.

The composition ratio is

Kuozui Motor (33.2%),

China Motor (21.6%),

Yulon Motor Manufacturing (18.2%),

The top three manufacturers continued to decline.

4th place Honda Motor Co. (13.9%) turned 15.5% to minus,

Fifth place Liuhe Automobile (7.9%), which is in fifth place, turned positive, up 29.6% year-on-year.
