🔬RIKEN develops a technology to distinguish the interphase of the cell cycle (G1 · S · G2) by three colors

Collaborative research group of RIKEN Brain Science Institute Center for Cell Function Discovery Technology Development team developed a new fluorescent probe “Fucci (CA)” to colorize the cell cycle more finely.

Fucci (CA) can be applied in any life science field dealing with mammals. It is planned to be applied not only for cancer, development and regeneration research but also for detection of neurogenesis in the animal brain,

observation of cell proliferation in outer space, and so on. From now on, you can expect to be active in regenerative medicine and drug screening using human ES cells and iPS cells.

This research will be posted on the online version (dated October 26: Japan time October 27) before it is published in the American science magazine “Molecular Cell” (November 2 issue). RIKEN
