Korea: Production of semiconductor materials
With the issue of export of semiconductor materials between Japan and Korea, localization of Japanese suppliers is progressing.
ADEKA:
Started production of strategic products at a base in Jeonju, South Korea.
Previously, it was exported from Japan’s Kashima Plant (Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture).
In the future, we are working to establish a system that will partially complete the production of semiconductor materials locally.
Kanto Denka Kogyo:
New plant of Kanto Denka Kogyo started operation in Cheonan, Korea.
In the future, we will also focus on development ties, and we are working toward opening a laboratory at the Cheonan Plant.
Korean market: Contributing to development
Korean users are key players in megatrends such as 5G.
The attitude of Japanese manufacturers to cooperate in times of adversity is greatly rewarded when demand emerges.

Currently, the domestic market size of high-purity gas for semiconductors is around 60 billion yen.
The world market is much larger, estimated at just under 500 billion yen.
The main battlefield is East Asia such as Korea, Taiwan and China.
Japanese companies are still high-purity gas suppliers.
