Uses the world’s largest GaN substrate manufacturing demonstration facility completed in May 2021.
Developed “SCAAT-LP”:
We have developed “SCAAT-LP”, a low-cost manufacturing technology for high-quality GaN substrates.
4-inch GaN crystal test:
We are proceeding with crystal growth tests for mass production of 4-inch GaN substrates.
It was confirmed that the 4-inch GaN crystal was growing as planned.
Market supply in 2022:
In the future, Japan Steel Works and Mitsubishi Chemical will continue crystal growth tests at large-scale demonstration facilities.
It will enable higher productivity and will start to be supplied to the market from the beginning of 2022.
