China · Automobiles: BYD, 72% decline in the first half – same trends for other makers

Ryuudi (BYD) announced the interim financial results report on August 29.
Sales revenue for the first half of 2018 (January to June) increased by 19.1% to 52,126,277 thousand yuan (about 834,066 million yen, 1 yuan = about 16 yen), double-digit increase.
Gross profit declined by 11.2% to 7,252,555 RMB,
Pre-tax income decreased by 59.0% to 1,087,054,000 yuan,
Net income (net income) attributable to parent company shareholders decreased by 72.2% to 479, 990 thousand RMB
