China: 2018 NEV credit points : more than half, average fuel consumption standard not achieved

China Information Technology Department:

On July 2, we announced the average fuel consumption and NEV credit points of a passenger car company in 2018.

The average fuel consumption point system (Note 1) has been introduced since 2018,

Average fuel consumption, NEV credit points: (See Tables 1 and 2)

66 out of 141 companies were able to clear the standard.
There are minus points for 75 companies.
The top of the plus points: Shanghai Automobile Group (128,871 points),
Minus points at the top: Shanghai Dosho Wuling Automobile (354,597 points).
Companies that have fuel consumption minus points need to offset them with the same plus points or NEV plus points (Note 2).

In 2018, 141 companies in China produced 21,339,100 passenger cars (including NEV, including imports and excluding exports) in China.

Average fuel consumption:

Average fuel consumption: 5.8 liters per 100 km.
Fuel consumption plus points: 9,929,900 points in total
Fuel consumption minus points: 2,951,300 points in total.
