JAXA: Hayabusa 2, drops target marker to asteroid Ryugu – landing rehearsal · 3rd time

JAXA has been conducting the third rehearsal from October 23, 2018, for the touch down of the asteroid explorer “Hayabusa 2”.

In rehearsal, separated one target marker mounted on “Hayabusa 2” and dropped it on asteroid Ryugu.

The target marker lands safely to the asteroid Ryugu.

From “Hayabusa 2”, confirmed the image taken with the target marker.

The state of “Hayabusa 2” is normal.
