“On October 3, the spacecraft ‘Hayabusa 2’ drops a small robot onto the surface of the asteroid ‘Ryugu’,” announced on September 24.

Small robot: Minerva 2-2

The project will drop “Minerva 2-2”, which was developed by 5 universities including Tohoku University.

Octagonal column with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 14.5 cm.

Experiment with moving methods on the surface of an asteroid with low gravity.

Spacecraft ‘Hayabusa 2’:

So far we have successfully dropped a total of 3 small robots from Japan and Europe.
