Bangladesh: Three bridges, construction completed: Japan’s ODA project contribution

On February 13, the refurbishment and enhancement of a bridge being undertaken by a Japanese company in Bangladesh was completed.
The traffic on the bridge is expected to increase by nearly 80% compared to before the construction.
Three bridges: renovation work
Renovated three bridges located on the national road connecting the capital Dhaka and Chittagong.
A second bridge was constructed in parallel with each bridge.
A Japanese ODA loan project by the Japanese government.
IHI Infrastructure Systems, Obayashi Corporation, Shimizu Corporation, and JFE Engineering under IHI have received orders for a total of 90 billion yen.
Construction started in January 2016 and completed on January 3 this year.
On February 9, the completion ceremony was held.
