We have received an order from Limak Construction, a major Turkish construction company, for a new monitoring system for the Jubail Riyadh water supply system in Saudi Arabia.

Jubail Riyadh Water Supply System:

Saudi Arabia Seawater Desalination Corporation establishes new Jubail Riyadh water supply system.

Jubail is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

We will supply drinking water produced at a desalination plant near Jubail to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The world’s largest water supply system with a daily water supply of 1.2 million cubic meters.

A pipeline with a total length of 412 km,
Pump facility in Jubail,
2 intermediate pump facilities,
It consists of two reservoirs.

STARDOM™:

The name of the product delivered by Yokogawa this time.

Network-based production system “STARDOM™”,

Field devices such as flow meters,
Pipeline leak detection system,
Water quality monitoring analyzer,
It is managed by SCADA*1 software “FAST/TOOLS”.

Yokogawa Saudi Arabia:

Yokogawa Saudi Arabia will carry out the entire project, including these products and their engineering, installation and commissioning.

Delivery is completed by March 2021 and operation is scheduled for the end of 2021.

Limak Construction:

Belonging to Turkish conglomerate Limak Group, specializes in large-scale international infrastructure projects.

The main reason why we received an order from Limak Construction for this project is that our company’s abundant track record in the water infrastructure field in Saudi Arabia was highly evaluated.

This is the first time Yokogawa has received an order from Limak Construction.

Yokogawa to Supply Monitoring Systems for Major Water Transmission Pipeline Project in Saudi Arabia

Tokyo, Japan – June 16, 2020

Yokogawa Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6841) announces that its subsidiary Yokogawa Saudi Arabia has received an order from Turkish contracting giant Limak Construction to supply the monitoring systems for a key water transmission pipeline project in Saudi Arabia.

The Jubail-Riyadh water transmission system, owned by the state-run Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC),

will transport water from desalination plants near Jubail on the Persian Gulf coast to Riyadh, the growing capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It will be one of the largest water transmission systems in the world, capable of transporting 1.2 million m3 of potable water per day.

The system consists of a 412 km twin pipeline, one pumping station in Jubail, two intermediate pumping stations, and two tank farms.
