On April 26, “Economic Survey 2019” was announced.
Of the total power generation in Kenya in 2018, 85% of renewable energy (hydro, geothermal, wind).
Geothermal power generation:
It surpassed hydropower in 2015.
The year 2018 is the generation of 5,127.80 GWh.
The composition ratio accounted for 46% and became the largest power source.
Geothermal Resources Reserve in Kenya:
According to the Ministry of Energy, it is more than 10,000 MW, which is 3.8 times the 2018 effective power generation capacity.
