The new technology “OdySSEA” was jointly developed and commercialized.
Reduces the environmental burden associated with sewage sludge incineration and enables high-efficiency power generation.
Innovative technology:
It is an innovative technology that uses unused waste heat to achieve greenhouse gas reduction and high-efficiency power generation.
A combination of technologies that simultaneously reduce nitrous oxide (N2O) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism: “B-DASH Project”
Sewage sludge has a high moisture content and has been considered unsuitable for power generation fuel.
A condensate steam turbine and a sewage (cooling water) treatment system will be installed at the sewage sludge incineration facility.
Demonstration test results:
Confirmed that high-efficiency power generation is possible even with a small incinerator (about 60 wet-t / day).
As a result, the power generation amount exceeds the power consumption amount, so-called completely independent power generation.
Confirm that N2O decomposition is promoted and NOx generation can be suppressed at the same time.
Although it is a compact facility, it has the ability to reduce N2O and NOx by 50% or more.
