Terumo: “QuiremScout” catheter, increase the effectiveness of cancer treatment – CE mark certification acquired
Terumo:
“Radiation emitting beads · QuiremScout” used for catheter cancer treatment has acquired CE mark certification * in Europe.
It is scheduled to be officially released in academic conference to be held in Europe (ECIO 2019) in April.
QuiremScout is developed by Quilem Medical, Inc. (Terumo Capital) of the Netherlands and has the right to be sold exclusively by Terumo.
Radiation emitting beads:
It is used for treatment of hepatocarcinoma from the advanced stage to the terminal stage.
It is transported to the hepatic artery through the catheter and attacks cancer cells with radiation.
