MEC: Improving laser absorption rate: Development of pure copper material
MEC:
MEC and Osaka Institute of Industrial Technology:
On July 15, we jointly developed “pure copper materials for 3D printing, which can be molded with general-purpose fiber lasers”.
What is 3D printing technology:
3D printing technology is also called metal additive manufacturing technology.
A technology that enables rapid production of products with complicated shapes that cannot be formed by conventional processing methods.
Developed pure copper powder:
MEC is utilizing the copper surface treatment technology cultivated in the electronic board business.
We have succeeded in “development of pure copper-based powder that contains no metal other than copper and has a high energy absorption rate.”
