In the NEDO project,
Shimadzu Corporation and Osaka University:
The world’s highest power 1 kW of blue semiconductor laser device has been realized.
This is ten times the output achieved in the same project last year.
It was conventionally considered difficult with blue semiconductor laser technology.
With this increased output, we made progress toward laser cutting and realization of metals (copper or gold with a thickness of several millimeters).
This technology is utilized for parts processing of aerospace, space, electric cars etc.
To “TCT Japan 2019” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 30th,
The blue semiconductor laser light source,
A processing apparatus equipped with a light source,
Actually processed samples
We will exhibit and demonstrate.
