Japan’s latest laser: Hamamatsu Photonics, measurable up to one million atmospheres, completed a new beam line – for laser fusion experiment
The new beam line of Hamamatsu Photonics can irradiate the target to 100 Joules class laser for laser fusion experiment.
By optimizing the laser irradiation condition based on the measurement result , and by raising the pressure applied to the target, it makes it easier for the nuclear fusion reaction to occur.
The results of the research will be announced at the 27th International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Nuclear Fusion Energy Conference, held on Monday, October 22 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
