Hamamatsu Photonics: High Power Laser Develop at 117 Joules-Industrial Pulsed Laser Equipment
Hamamatsu Photonics:
We have established a technology to efficiently cool the laser medium (* 1).
We have developed an industrial pulse laser device that outputs the world’s highest pulse energy of 117 joules (J) by using semiconductor laser (LD) excitation (* 2).
Application of this product:
- Harder metallic materials for aircraft and cars: Improve laser peening effect
- Forming metal materials: Utilizing laser forming effect
- Paint peeling: Used for new laser processing
New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO):
It was developed by the “High brightness and high efficiency next-generation laser technology development” project.
We will make a presentation at the International Conference on Light and Photonics “OPIC2019” held at Pacifico Yokohama (Yokohama City) for 5 days from April 22 (Mon) to April 26 (Fri).
