Conducted “FY2019 Thai restaurant restaurant survey” announced on September 13.
As of August, there were 3,637 Japanese restaurants in Thailand, an increase of 633 (21.1%) from the previous year.
Japanese restaurants by industry (see table)
The largest number of stores is “Japanese food” such as restaurants and set meals: 893 stores, an increase of 19.2% from the previous year.
The industry with the largest number of stores increased “Sushi”: 229 stores increased.
Thailand: by province
241 stores in Chonburi Province: many Japanese residents
170 stores in Nonthaburi Province: Outskirts of Bangkok
152 stores in Chiang Mai Province: Northern tourist destinations
On the other hand, only two prefectures in the Tohoku region have no Japanese restaurants.
