Mitsubishi Electric: Multi-purpose radar ‘Ultra-wideband transmission chip’ : in 3 frequency bands (S , C , X band)

Mitsubishi Electric:

The world’s first ultra-wideband transmission chipset was developed for multipurpose radar equipment.

One chipset can transmit in three frequency bands (S-band, C-band, X-band * 2, hereinafter referred to as S-X band).

Contributes to “miniaturization of wireless devices and realization of long-distance communication” through “compatibility of broadband operation and high output operation”.

Details of this development will be announced at the international conference “EuMC / EuMIC * 3 2019” (September 29 to October 4, in Paris, France).

the next deployment:

Planned for practical use after 2022 as a transmission chipset for wireless devices.

Weather radars and satellites are extremely demanded for “miniaturization and high-power operation over a wide band.”

This technology will be installed for multi-purpose radar and communication systems.
