Mitsubishi Electric: High-precision GPS terminal “AQLOC-Light” : Quasi-zenith sat CLAS compatible
Mitsubishi Electric: High-precision GPS terminal
A new centimeter-class, high-precision GPS device “AQLOC-Light” will be released on November 5.
Receives high-precision positioning reinforcement information such as the centimeter-class positioning reinforcement service (CLAS * 1) from the Quasi-Zenith Satellite.
Realized miniaturization, weight reduction and power saving.
It can also be mounted on small mobile objects such as drones.
New product features:
Realization of weight reduction and power saving by adopting ‘1u-blox receiver chip’
・ Uses the Swiss u-blox receiver chip * 2 ’, which is linked to CLAS-compatible receiver chip development.
・ Reduces the number of parts, reduces power consumption by 70%, eliminates the need for an exhaust heat structure, and reduces volume and weight by approximately 80%
Autonomous positioning and network-type positioning augmentation information can be performed using a unique positioning algorithm
-Interpolation of position information by autonomous positioning using “Gyro equipped with receiver and vehicle speed pulse signal of moving body” * 3.
・ Positioning is possible even in tunnels or under elevated routes that cannot receive signals from satellites.
-In addition to CLAS, network type positioning reinforcement information (RTK method / RTCM * 43.2) can also be received and used in more fields.
