Saga University: Artificial blood vessel preparation from skin cells-“Bio 3D printer”

The research team created artificial blood vessels with the “Bio 3D printer” that uses cells to create three-dimensional tissue.

Clinical research plan:

We applied for a clinical research plan for transplantation to patients on hemodialysis to the screening committee of Gamagori Municipal Hospital (Aichi Prefecture).

According to Professor Nakayama, transplantation of living tissue made with bio 3D printer using only skin cells is rare worldwide.
