Daimler: Benz E-Class production in Russia-Moscow-Esipovo Industrial Park

Germany’s leading Daimler:
On April 3, the “Mercedes-Benz E-Class” production plant opens in the Esipovo Industrial Park in Moscow, about 40 km northwest of Moscow.
The investment amount is 19 billion rubles (190 million euros)
The number of employees will be more than 1,000.
The company plans to produce 25,000 a year.
Production model is initially E class (only sedan)
Expanded to E-class SUV (multipurpose car for sports).
Vehicles are expected to be sold in the local market.
Industry 4.0: Inter-process and unmanned transport system
Introduce an automated shopping cart system for assembly process.
We adopt the most advanced production system based on Industry 4.0.
Paperless documentation
Building heat recovery system,
Electric forklift,
Use of water soluble products in the painting process
Efforts have also been made in consideration of the environment and resource conservation.
The number of employees is 500 to 700 at present, mainly from local people.
Russian Presidential Office:
Daimler signed a special investment contract (Note 2) in February 2017. The construction of the plant began in June and was completed in a year and a half.
Russian European Business Association (AEB):
In 2018, Mercedes-Benz sold 37,788 units, up 2.7% from the previous year.
