Indonesia: Popularization of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles
A demonstration project has been started in Indonesia for “sustainable environmental improvement for the spread of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles”.

Jointly completed a CNG filling station at Karawang Industrial Park near Jakarta.
NEDO: Full-scale operation of CNG filling station
NEDO has already installed 10 CNG passenger vehicles and 18 CNG freight vehicles in Indonesia.
Monitor operation and acquisition of basic operation data have been completed.
In the future, we will start full-scale demonstration business by operating CNG filling stations in actual use environments.
In April 2020, CNG filling stations will be added to two existing gas stations in Jakarta metropolitan area.
A demonstration operation for about one year will be conducted, and the plan is to confirm the quality of CNG and the safety and maintainability of gas supply facilities.
