Swiss (Auto-Schweiz): New vehicle sales in 2019, 300,000 units : EV popularity continues

Automobile industry group: Auto-Schweiz (See Table 1)
Swiss car sales in 2019 were 319,466 units, up 3.9% from the previous year.
By brand: sales volume
The top three companies are the same as the previous year.
Volkswagen (share 11.1%),
Mercedes-Benz (share 8.6%),
BMW (8.0% share).
Japanese manufacturers:
Toyota (3.5% share, 16.3% increase),
Lexus (share 0.3%, up 27.5%)
By category: (See Table 2)
Especially, the growth rate was large, EV is 1.6 times,
Hybrids (gasoline and diesel combined) increased 68.0%,
Compressed natural gas increased by 55.5%,
Meanwhile, diesel vehicles fell 11.9%.
