France (AVERE France): EV new car registration number in 2018: 27% increase over the previous year

The number of new EV registrations in 2018 was 39,158, up 27% from the previous year.
Looking at the breakdown,
EV passenger cars: 25% increase over previous year (31,055 vehicles)
Commercial EV vehicles: 35% increase year on year (8,103 vehicles)
EV passenger car sector:
Renault “Zoe”: It was the largest at 17,038 units.
Nissan “Leaf”: followed by 4,668 units.
EV Commercial Vehicle Division:
Renault “Kangoo”: The EV model accounted for more than 50% of all commercial EVs at 4,176.
Plug-in hybrid division: (PHEV)
The total number of registered PHEVs increased by 24% to 13,439. Top 3 companies are side by side
Mitsubishi Motors: 1,312 “Outlander PHEV”
Volvo: 1,394 units of the “XC60”
Mini: 1,332 “Countryman”
BMW, Benz, VW: 600 to 900 PHEVs
Toyota: 281 “Prius”
