Great Wall Motor: an automobile base in Zhejiang Province – Pinghu Eco and Tech Zone

Private automobile manufacturer: No. 2 in China · Great Wall Motor (see table)
The Great Wall Motor’s domestic sales volume in 2018 contracted by 3.7% from the previous year.
However, the Chinese manufacturer maintains second place behind Geely Automobile.
On February 23, invested 11 billion yuan (about 187 billion yen, 1 yuan = about 17 yen), and to the Pinghu economic development zone (Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province)
announced that they will upgrade the car base.
The investment amount of the finished car factory reaches 5.2 billion yuan, and it is scheduled to start operation in 2021.
If completed, 50,000 new energy vehicles (NEV) are produced annually and 20,000 pickup trucks are produced.
Total vehicle shipments in 2018 (including exports to foreign countries) exceeded 1,053,000 units for the third consecutive year, exceeding 1 million units.
