Disney Cruise Line orders LNG-fueled trio

The U.S.-based Disney Cruise Line

has entered into a memorandum of agreement for three additional LNG-powered cruise ships with the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.

Disney

said that the three new ships would be powered by liquefied natural gas and would be slightly larger than its Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy vessels.

According to the company,

the three new vessels will have around 144,000 gross tons and 1,250 guest staterooms.
