Outline of “NYK Super Eco Ship 2050”
This ship is a concept ship in 2050 modeled on an automobile dedicated ship.
In addition to reducing the frictional resistance of the hull by cutting the weight and optimizing the hull shape, electric propulsion using a fuel cell, adoption of highly efficient propulsion devices, etc.
It is possible to reduce the energy amount by 70% compared with the general ship currently operated.
In addition, we install a solar panel and use hydrogen derived from renewable energy instead of fossil fuel for fuel, thus achieving zero emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2).
