Hitachi Metals:
In seawater desalination
developed a ceramic adsorption filter (CAF * 2) that suppresses clogging of RO * 1 membranes.
Nanyang Technological University (Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute) and Singapore
We are conducting a experiment jointly.
Experimental result:
We succeeded in adsorbing the causative substance of clogging of RO membrane with CAF.
greatly reduces the frequency of RO membrane cleaning (the cause of lowering the operating rate of desalination plants).
Moreover, we can expect reduction of water production cost.
We will continue to develop business from Singapore, the center of water treatment business in the future.
