Japan (JADA): New car sales in March 2020: 9% decrease from the previous year (4% decrease in FY19)

March New vehicle sales (including mini vehicles) were announced on April 1, 581,438 units, down 9.3% year-on-year.

Decrease for 6 consecutive months. The spread of the infection with the new coronavirus slowed down customer traffic and increased the number of vehicles over the years.

In March, sales of registered cars fell 10.2% to 374,955 units.

According to the JADA, the reason for the decline is that many models have passed for a certain period of time since the model change.
