Japan : 8 makers decrease global production in Nov by 9%: Production adjustments are on the rise

8 manufacturers: November global production volume

Global production in November 2019, compiled by eight passenger cars on the 25th, fell 9% to 2.35 million units.

Minus for 4 consecutive months.

Toyota Motor,
Nissan Motor,
Seven companies, including Honda, fell below the previous year’s results.

Asian production:

Production in Asia was sluggish for all companies.

Production adjustments are being made at major assembly bases in the ASEAN region and elsewhere.

Domestic production:

The domestic production of the eight companies fell by 9%.

Minus for 4 consecutive months.

Compared with October (down 11.9%), the negative margin narrowed.

Overseas production:

Overseas production decreased by 8% to 1.58 million units. It has been minus for two consecutive months.

Stalls in Asia, such as India and Indonesia, are echoing. Mitsubishi Motors fell 21% and Nissan fell 13%.

US production:

US production is down 14% to 270,000 units.

The market for large vehicles such as SUVs and pickup trucks has been firm.

Meanwhile, the sedan market continues to shrink.

Honda and Nissan are reducing production of small and medium-sized vehicles at their main factories.
