On February 4, the International Science and Technology Foundation (Chairman Hiroshi Komiyama) announced the 36th 2020 Japan International Prize.

He analyzed the DNA of ancient human bones and contributed to the study of paleoanthropology.

The award ceremony will be held in Tokyo on April 15th.
