China: Sales of Japanese autos
In China, sales of six Japanese automakers / new vehicles in February totaled 53,439 units (down 78.9% from the same month of the previous year).
All six companies fell below the previous year’s level, and the negative margin was about 70-90%.
Three major companies:
Toyota: down 70.2% year-on-year,
Nissan: down 80.3% year-on-year,
Honda: down 85.1% year-on-year,
Mitsubishi Motors and SUBARU (Subaru) were down more than 90%.
National Passenger Car Market Information Federation (Riding Association):
Passenger car sales in the overall market in February were 256,608 units, down 78.6% year-on-year.
