China (CAAM): Car sales increased by 16.4% in July: double-digit increase for 3 consecutive months

China Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM):

August 11, announced the July vehicle sales.

It increased by 16.4% year-on-year to 2,112,000 units, marking double-digit growth for the third consecutive month.

Sales in July:

Passenger cars: Sales increased by 8.5% year-on-year to 1,665,000 units for the third consecutive month.

Commercial Vehicles: Sales increased by 59.4% year-on-year to 447 million units.

NEV: 98,000 units, an increase of 19.3% from the same month of the previous year, changed from a decrease in June (a decrease of 33.1%) to an increase.

Car sales from January to July:

It decreased by 12.7% year-on-year to 12.365,000 units, which is a negative figure.

The amount of decrease was 4.2 points smaller than in June.

For passenger cars,

the number of Japanese brands sold has slightly decreased.

All other overseas brands and Chinese brands decreased by double digits.

Vehicle exports from January to July:

Chinese companies are also putting efforts into exports, but there are no signs of recovery in overseas markets.

The number of automobiles exported from January to July decreased by 21.2% year-on-year to 448,000 units.
