Thailand: August car production: 100,000 units for the first time in 5 months

On September 17, 2020, automobile production decreased by 29.5% from the same month of the previous year to 117,253 units.
It announced that it has been negative for 16 consecutive months compared to the same month of the previous year.
Breakdown of production volume:
Production volume for export:
43.9% of the total, 38.3% decrease from the previous year 51,441 units,
For domestic sales:
56.1% of the total, down 20.7% to 65,812 units.
Production volume by department:
Passenger cars decreased by 32.3% to 45,094 units,
Commercial vehicles decreased by 27.7% to 72,159 units.
August sales:
It decreased by 14.9% from the same month of the previous year to 68,883 units, down for 15 consecutive months from the same month of the previous year.
