Softbank: 5G communication success between in-vehicle terminals even outside the service area-tunnel and row running

Softbank:
succeeded in direct communication experiment using 5G NR between in-vehicle terminals.
This technology is useful for the implementation of truck corps travel using 5G communication, even in areas without base stations.
In this experiment, it has been improved so that “automobile terminals can directly communicate with each other” even outside the 5G base station area.
Base station independent direct communication:
The delay time “low delay communication with 1 ms or less” .
Even when traveling outside the zone, such as in a tunnel, track group formation can be realized by continuously sharing “acceleration / deceleration information and vehicle control information” among vehicles.
