Japan’s 8.5% from China, China from Japan to 6.8%, the first reversal – FY2004 survey
The trend towards domestic return of some of the base stations such as manufacturing processes by Japanese companies continues with the surge in labor costs in China. According to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) “Questionnaire survey on overseas business development of Japanese companies in 2016”, among the 458 cases planned or planned to be relocated, 8.5% from Japan from China, 6.8% from Japan to China from China, . Relocation to Japan exceeded the first time since FY 2006 with comparable data. The survey received valid responses from a total of 2995 companies in the manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries.
